Public Agency Contracts
Per California Government Code § 6500, any public agency has the option to participate in any award made as a result of a solicitation of another public agency. This option extends for the term of the agreement containg such provision with the originating public agency and shall be subject to the contractor's acceptance.

Any participating public agency accepts sole responsibility for the placing of orders, arranging for delivery and/or services, and making payments to the contractor. The originating public agency is not liable or responsible for any obligations, including but not limited to financial responsibility, in connection with participation by other public agencies.
